I will be upgrading my computer when I get home. I have a 24x TDK that doesn't work properly. I will be taking it back to Compusa on a warrenty exchange. I want to pay the difference (around $150) and get the new Sony DVD+ RW drive. The problem is that it only burns at 12x for CDs. I can get a 48x TDK CDr for around 70 or so. I currently have a Creative DVD+dxr3 decoder card in my comp.
Here is the question.
Should I rip out the Creative drive, and use the sony to play DVDs and then get another faster burner as well? Then again I don't burn more than once a day so it may not be worth it..... your thoughts.
