I don't know why it was blocked. What add-on or software are you using? It was just a video from YouTube wrapped in media BBcode to parse. I edited my post with a link.

Maybe it was because it started with an AD? I do block ADs with uBlock, but I've never had issues with embedded videos.

I block youtube to save bandwidth and prevent browser churn in video heavy threads. I'm using a phone as an internet connection, and only get 4gb of lte before it gets throttled. A few mb here and there adds up over time. Kind of sucks, but kind of doesn't too. Limitations focus attention, and promote careful consideration. Means I don't click on as much stupid shit. I can also take my internet anywhere, and best of all, I don't have to deal with comcast. I pay my $35/month, and I use internet. Straight forward, and no bs. A pretty good deal all things considered.

I have 2.5GB of data on my phone, though largely use my home WIFI. If and when Comcrap does go out, I tether to my laptop. Great thing is I don't pay for tethering and just use an App and program on my computer to create the connection via USB and apparently Cricket doesn't know shit about it. But as far as I'm considered they can suck it. I rarely ever have to tether.

I voted for the city to bring in their own Internet offering. It passed, but as it turns out it was really for "exploring the possibility of creating a city-based ISP." Unreal. But if it goes throgh that will create competition and hopefully the RAPE! won't hurt as much. The town south of here has city-based Internet and apparently they offer Gig speeds for cheap. Right now I'm paying about $150 for TV, phone and 100 MB Internet. And that's with a major TV package downgrade where now I virtually have dick in the way of movie channels. Not even el rey network. Come to think of it, I think I don't even have Spike.
