I was in an ancient Cessna 150 when the door popped open in mid air. Didn't panic though. The pilot just reached over and shut it. Guess it didn't latch properly.

Quite common. Ive had that happen two or three times with 150/2s

flying recently on a CRJ in the middle of a wicked thunderstorm, I was looking out the window and saw lightning left and right outside the window.

My flight into Baghdad in 2005 on a C-130. No fire initiated at our flight but they took evasive maneuvers in the descent. The guy next to me vomited. The pilot had us swinging back and forth in a steep decline and it seemed like at the last moment pulled up and we hit the ground.

I am sure military folks are used to it. I was just happy to keep my food down. No roller coaster has ever come close to that flight.

Shucks, I got ya beat on some military flights, but wouldn't wanna give people the wrong idea about a few things.

But yeah, definitely one of the many many flights in and around Iraq that I was on.

I was flying from Chicago to Louisville and the plane got struck by lightning. Everything went dark and it felt like the plane dropped a few hundred feet, then all the lights came back on and everything was fine.

I've never had a scary flight either. One flight had bad turbulence for a short while (the pilot then changed altitude) and a couple have had hard landings, but nothing more.

I had an advertising banner hooked on the main gear once, I forgot about that. I was picking it up and got too low. The problem with that is, it is putting drag way too low, below centerline of thrust.
I had another pilot along with me. The plane was not climbing like it should, in fact not climbing at all. I turned around quickly and made a hard downwind landing with banner dragging.
I showed him how not to do it :)

This on time....on red-eye Flight 121 r, occupying first-class. However, somebody dispatches hundred of different species of snakes airborne with a time operated device in the luggage to release the snakes and it was crazy,so many snakes on the plane but we did not crash...
