Your Republican Primary Vote - Sep 30th

Who will you be voting for?

  • I'm not allowed / will not vote in my Republican primary

  • Michelle Bachman

  • Herman Cain

  • Newt Gingrich

  • Jon Huntsman, Jr.

  • Gary Johnson

  • Ron Paul

  • Rick Perry

  • Mitt Romney

  • Rick Santorum

Results are only viewable after voting.
Huntsman is the only one that doesn't make me gag, so I'd vote for him were I not a rehabilitated republican.

Only one vote for the Prophet Paul? What kind of internet forum is this-he should be swamping the other choices.

I previously supported Perry, but I'm seeing more and more how he's really a RINO on some things (illegal immigration, etc). Tough call between Cain and Perry now.

Today? Well screw you. It's too early :\

I was considering Perry for a bit, but his past is checkered. Seems to have an authoritarian streak in him. Fumbled speaking at the debates. I can almost guarantee I'm done with him.

Paul is always a backup choice, but the man is quite old and also makes a lousy speaker. His ideals are a bit too far for my taste - though I'm willing to accept all of it in exchange for the parts I do like. At least I know he's authentic and honest in what he believes in. Always tempting to place him first.

Cain is an interesting candidate. He has been a successful executive, and is not a politician. His speaking style won't win him American idol but at least he came up with a solid plan that I can back. His website claims that he's a close match to my ideals... I'm still trying to decide if I can trust him.

So there's some of the thinking I've got going into this. Pretty much comes down to Cain or Paul. Between the two I'd rather have Cain, but I don't really know if I can trust him like Paul. Sigh....

Cain.

Agree with most of what you said.

I'll go with Ron though, I trust him more than any of the others.
Though I like Gary Johnson too.
Cain is my third choice. Though he did support Romney in 08 and TARP. But I do like the fair tax.

I'd be much nicer if we had run offs, even if it were just automatic based on voter priority. That way two conservatives in the race wouldn't cancel each other out and hand the nomination over to the Neocons.

I'm tempted to register as a Republican so that I can vote for the most fucked up unelectable idiot in the primaries.

Has any Rep candidate yet promised to lock down the southern border ASAP after being elected?

And that will solve what major pressing national issue? Complete non issue in the real world. Energy, energy and energy is all that matters in this election.
Drill everywhere, burn anything and quit paying our enemies to do it for us. Keep investing in green at the same time so we don't end up having the same problem in 20 years with China.

Vote Perry. Energy independence must be 1st. Everything else is BS politics.

I'd vote for either John Huntsman(1st choice), Ron Paul(2nd choice), or Mitt Romney(3rd choice)...But I'm not a registered Republican so I can't vote in your poll.

I was Perry before he started to die in the debates.

May go back to him, but right now I am Newt. I don't care about the personal baggage BS. I want someone with solutions and Newt has them.

I am an Independent and not very impressed by any of the Repubs running. If I had to choose one I would have to go with Gingrich. He is obviously the most intelligent one running and has repeatedly offered logical solutions to all the significant issues facing us right now.
I will not vote for Obama in 2012. I will not vote for a 3rd party either and waste my vote on principal.
I would possibly vote for Hillary if she ran though.

If I had to vote to day I'd probably vote for Romney because economics is my primary concern atm. but that's really only a guess because I haven't checked out any candidate. I vote in NC and we won't vote until May 2012.
