More people will flee from the Middle East. In the united nations, IS will be discussed to be allowed to exist as a sovereign entity. More turmoil will happen in the EU because of it. Meanwhile, more will be discovered about atrocities against people happening by IS. IS selling oil will be allowed if allowed to exist. More people in the EU will demonstrate (non Islamic people) not to fight IS.
Separate factions will continue to rise to perform terrorist acts of violence.
In the US and in the EU.
Many countries in Africa will realize the benefits of "green" technology available in the west. And use it. State of the art water filtering and water recycling will be needed but is available. Wireless internet will grow more and more in Africa. EU will be very supportive.
The US and the EU will get a break through in fusion research.
The tokamak project itself will continue but will in the end over a decade be stopped because of no results. The fusion time will be longer but still a stable function system cannot be realized.
ADS driven fission technology might get a boost if the public will be informed correctly.
At CERN a new discovery will be made that was not expected. Will cause new insights and debates.
AMD ZEN will perform nicely and will excel in a specific area.
The Android counterpart concept of the Microsoft Surface pro might be an AMD (ZEN) APU driven tablet. (Might be 2017)
Google will then start to become a major player for serious applications.

Zen isn't expected to ship until 2017. AMD will probably have to declare bankruptcy by then unless they get brought up by someone else.

2) Democrats and Republicans will continue to hate each other
3) Apple will release new products that are only marginally better than the old ones, yet the media will still obsess over them.
Now, for the slightly less obvious predictions:
1) Trump will not get elected president
2) There will be a major terrorist attack on US soil. ISIS will be blamed for it.
3) We're not going to see a publicly available self driving car from either Apple or Google.. yet
4) AMD isn't going to release any new processors that can complete with a Core i5, let alone a Core i7.

I doubt that the NRA will let them fold that quickly.
On the bright side, if Obama decides to do something like restrict gun sales to people on the no fly list that shouldn't be ON that list, it will finally give THAT issue the attention it deserves.

The iPad isn't selling as well as it used to. I think that most of the people who wanted an Apple tablet have one at this point.
The iPhone will sell well, though, mostly because the Android phone manufacturers aren't securing their shit and people are getting sick of their phones getting infected with malware.
