Worst Movie of the Year?

hmm...excellent choices out there but I'd have to say that Pearl Harbor because the Devil (Jerry Bruckheimer) fooled millions into thinking the movie was about Pearl Harbor when it was actually about rejects from WB teen dramas.

Pearl Harbor was the worst, but Planet of the Apes was the most dissapointing movie I've ever seen. PotA sucked so much @ss it's not even funny how bad that movie is. The acting sucked. The entire story sucked (not just the horrific ending they added 3wks before the film was released 'cause preview audiences thought the original ending to the movie sucked). The nods to the original ("get your hands off me you d@mn, dirty human") sucked. Even the production value was sub-par because the movie was rushed (this is most evident towards the end of the film where there is a noticable lack of color correction). The only good thing 'bout the movie was the make-up.

I didn't see THAT many movies this year, but one that really did suck was "The Mexican". I don't know if that came out in 2000, or 2001, but it royally sucked the llama's @ss. Next would be "the musketeer". That movie was TERRIBLE! I can't believe I spent $5.50 to see that! The "action" seens were so predictable and the acting was cheezy. I ended up walking out of that and walked into American Pie 2. At least AP2 was _somewhat_ funny.

You obviously don't enjoy what is truly the funnest thing ever... racing cars... I enjoyed that movie just because of the thought of what they were doing.. not because it had a good story or whatever... i loved it.. great action, great cars..

Scary Movie 2. It's obvious the Wayans made the movie as cheap as possible and spent the rest on smoke.

I try to avoid bad movies like the plague. I won't even waste my time with movies like "Freddie Got Fingered". I already know that Tom Green is not funny and apparently it took Drew Barrymoore a few more months to realize this. ;)

I can tell you what I was most disapointed with though. What the hell were they thinking when they added that sappy story line to "Pearl Harbor"? I was fast asleep before all the good special effects started.

The last good movie that I saw was Gladiator and that was some time ago. Hollywood has been churning out a lot of crap lately.

Oh man.. I forgot. That's how good this movie was. ;) I'm a huge racing fan and I was so stoked to see "Driven". I had such expectations for that movie. I was even at a couple of the races when they were filming. Sly says that he's such a fan, but he has no clue on how to make a decent race movie. Sappy story line and typical Stallone macho crap mixed into the movie. The special effects weren't even that real or exciting. They didn't even use the real race announcers because they probably thought that they weren't good looking enough. They did dub in their voices though. I should've known better. I personally think it was all down hill after Rocky 1 with Stallone anyway.

The only good thing about Driven was when they took the cars through downtown Toronto (was supposed to be Chicago). The rest of it was garbage including the part when the car crashed into a little retaining pond and then exploded. These cars use Methonal and you cannot see the fire from the explosion because when Methanol burns, it burns clear. Besides, I thought I was in a time warp taken back to a bad Chips episode (every episode) when they get everyone clear of the car right before it explodes. Also, where was the Safety crew? I think the race was supposed to be in Germany. I think they should've hired a safety crew in Germany for the race.

I would have to say Pearl Harbor and Unbreakable are my two picks for the crappiest movies of 2001.

I can tell you, without a doubt what the worst movie of 2002 will be. The trailers for Kung Pow: Enter the Fist make it look like the absolute sh!ttiest movie of all time. It boggles the mind that someone gave that movie the green light.
