I like apache but I say use PHPDEV. It is a mix of many programs including Apache but it also has alot built in such as PHP support.

indigoperl is also recommended. The newest one is supposed to have mod_php installed by default.
 
Since my webservers actually have to *DO* something rather than serve up pictures of my cats, IIS.

If I were an ignoramus like so many in this thread who can't seem to keep up to date on patches (even when there are tools to AUTOMATE it), I'd probably go Apache because even though there are probably MORE security holes found in Apache, there are generally less tools promulgated to exploit them out of the box.

All insults aside, I actually run both in a production environment that support customers.

anyone use minihttp to serve a few files for a short time? Anyone know of a program similar but with a GUI?
