Perfect can include imperfections. One of the things that's part of my 'perfect' guy is someone who's human and still willing to work on their flaws. Not flawless but with the help of others and the determination of himself looking to improve.

<< SOMEBODYES GOT AN UGLY GIRLFRIEND! >>

LOL! Probably true..

This thread is about imagined ideals, and while it is true that in a perfect world we should really be able to see past such vain things as how someone looks, one should also remember that raw sexual attraction is a real force. This is only natural. All things considered, I would rather be going out with a good-looking woman as opposed to an ugly one (however, personality, attitude, etc. can be important mitigating factors).

Hmm let's see..

-Smile...nice smile is so important, and she better use it a lot!! :) so always being a downer is no fun
-Has some strong interests and at least one thing she's passionate about (people without this are, quite frankly, boring).
-Can accept and understand my faults (i'll do the same)
-Intelligent & can hold up meaningful conversations for a long time
-Trustworthy...I can usually tell if I can trust someone almost instantly, it's some kind of sixth sense and it hasn't failed me yet
-Not clingy...let me have time to myself when I need it!
-Has at least some of the interests I have
-Subtlely feminine (I'm not sure how to describe this...err, what I mean is I can't stand a girl who says "eww" at everything and is concerned about her nails 99% of her waking hours)
-Loves music
-Someone who I can feel comfortable with being alone for a long period of time and not exchanging any words (say if one of us were doing homework and one of us were reading)...just to say that us being together in the same room is enough sometimes, know what i mean?

just scratching the surface

Things never to tell your wife: Part 1

<< Yobarman: That was a looooong time ago. And we parted friends. My wife may never win a beauty contest, but she loves me. That makes me a very lucky person. I have dated plenty of shallow, stupid, vain, good looking women. And a couple of really smart, nice looking women. But never would I put looks first. I would not even factor them in. >>

don't worry I am just joking with you.

Boy, assume the worst about the ATOT peeps and discover the surprising bright side. This thread hasn't been trashed with pics and sex talk, instead we have guys who actually have other ideals in mind. Good for you all, and my apologies for underestimating you. (The morning crowd remains to be seen, maybe THEY're the real troublemakers. ;))

The girl should be kind, trusting, sweet, honest, have a good temper, have an optimistic attitude, and be feminine. IMHO, Appearance shouldn't be levitated above personality/traits. If a girl is basically perfect except for her appearance, most people will eventually like her appearance (as long as she doesn't look totally repulsive).

dude, i totally know what you mean (see my first post :)). it's kind of like they almost take guilty pleasure in splurging sometimes by wearing lacy underwear or something, but you totally wouldn't have guessed it. it is hard to explain...

<< she must not snore >>

Cuz, I do. If both of us snore, we'd not be able to hear the alarm clock!

someone who can keep up a conversation, someone who can think for herself, someone who can sometimes just lay back and deal with life, and someone who can definatley joke around.

1 - Tolerates my odd fixation on old things that I would sooner fix than replace. (Example; lets me keep pouring money into my Accord when it has problems instead of nagging me to get another car.)
2 - Not clingy. I don't need to know where she is every hour of every day, and I think she should feel the same.
3 - Intelligent and willing to debate a point with me, even if we don't agree at the end. A corollary, she should definitely disagree with me on some things.
4 - More outgoing than I am, sad to say, but I need someone who'll coerce me into getting out and do things that are not in my routein.
5 - Kind of "cutesy", not afraid to get dirty, mind you, but also not a girl who refuses to wear dresses.
6 - "Baby face", (as in, "cute" as opposed to "pretty").
7 - Likes B&W movies, Van Gogh, walking through a nature preserve, sleeping under the stars, deep snow in winter, and watching thunderstorms either outside or from a porch.
And, most importantly,
8 - She likes me as I am, no warranties, exchanges, alterations, or refunds.

I have a girlfriend. We have been together for almost two and a half years. She is not perfect.

That said, she is honestly the nicest person I've ever met. She's also extraordinarily patient and supportive. That's all I can ask for. Sure, I'm attracted to her, but as you all know, physical attraction does not a relationship make.

Furthermore, she's a home-body like I am. It's nice not having to feel like we have to "do" something all the time to have fun. Some of the time we just lay next to each other, reading books.

man this thread is making me feel lonely :p

i used to be all about the looks, but goddamn some people just annoy me so much i can't help but value personality. and it's soooo nice to be pleasantly surprised when you meet a hot girl who can keep an intelligent conversation. it's like "wow".

is funny/knows how to take a joke.

FOUR girls in my second period are awesome! 2 are 1 year younger, the other 2 are my same age. I'm sad that the class ends on the 25th, but glad that I will have another class with 1 of them this coming term. They are all beautiful, funny, smart blah blah blah people, well, at least in my eyes, but that's all that matters anyways. PLUS another one that's on the top of my list :) in my 3rd period, but sadly, only 5 more days of class with her, and she's 2 years older than me (graduates this year :()

Strong morals (but not religious)
Doesn't smoke.
Computer geek.
Intelligent.
Good sense of humor (a must!)
Not ditzy.
Thoughtful.
Likes my cooking and is willing to help out with the dishes afterwards. ;)
Can put up with the fact that I'm a slob/can't organize anything to save my life.
Similar sleeping habits (go to bed at 5AM, get up at 1PM)
No drugs.
Eyes that you can fall into...you know, deep and complex eyes that you can just get lost in, preferably dark ones.. :)
Capable of being independent, not needy but perhaps slightly posessive. :p
She has to be able to make me feel appreciated, needed and wanted.
And a strong sex drive would be an extra bonus. ;)

So when do I get my dream girl?

One who has small hands and poor eyesight -- making her think that things are bigger than they actually are.
