I bought Boston Scientific options at $0.15 and sold it for $2.75 in 1 day. The following month I blew half of the profit buying Google options for ~$5 and it expired at $0.
Are you talking about Berkshire Hathaway? If so it was founded by Warren Buffet and the current trading price is around 108,000 per share. Its share price will fluxuate what seems to be crazy, but it really isnt anything unusual for the price of the shares.For example it went down $500 today. But if you had bought 100 shares when it launched back in the day you would be a billonaire. Cheers

I'm considering AMD while it's sitting near the 52 week low. Seems like a bargain right now.
Last year I got 16.5% on SPWR. I had NVDA at 19.10 but so WAAAYY too early. That was a huge mistake.
I was about to pull the trigger on MDCI last night but decided to wait and see. Went up 16% today.

AMD isnt that great of a buy right now, i wouldnt go for it if i were you, there are much better options out there.
Most of my money is in real estate now, but when I was invested in the stock market I had the best gains in 2004 when I sold 1000 shares of ATI Technologies stock for a $24k profit. I also had sold some Nortel stock that year at a small profit of a few grand.

MSFT was good to me last year. Bought in at 21. Sold at 30. Costco did well for me too. Bought in at 47 sold at 54. A little no-name I had (SYGR) went up over 28% in one day from a buyout bid. Too bad it was only a $4 share I was only sitting on several hundred shares.
Right now CAT is rolling for me. Bought in at 59 and it's at 72. I normally pick up solid companies so I don't expect to double my money. 10%-20% in a year is what I aim for.
AMD, AMTD, and SIRI are really holding back big gains for me this year. I don't have a very big part of my portfolio in them though so it's not hurting me *too* bad. AMD and SIRI were really big chances that I took. All three of these guys are potential buyout bids so that could work in my favor in the long haul.

I did pretty good on VG today, bought at $3.05 a couple weeks ago, sold out today with a stop-loss at $4.10 between the two halts.

More on topic with the thread, I did really well last year on AZ. I bought throughout the year on dips, and with dividends included I think I made a net of about 20%.
I also did really well on SKS, caught the first $4 special dividend (on an $18 share price) which made it just balance out to the drop that it incurred because of that, but then I rode it back up to about $19 or $20 when the 2nd dividend was annouced and sold just before the date of record.
Also bought some BRK.B in the $3k range, but I'm just going to hold onto that one a while along with PEP and PG.

GLW - Corning I have owned and sold shares from near its low. Up about 100+ % before tomorrows earning announcement.
