your nf2 fsb ??

just wondering what motherboards you are all using and what fsb/timings/mem/vdd settings you are at

i have an asus a7n8x 2.0 delux i am currently at 184mhz fsb sync operation
i am still trying to get it stable at 200mhz fsb but it seems to need more vdd

so what fsb speeds are you all reaching on your nforce2 boards ??

same here, using A7N8X Deluxe PCB2.00

Proc : XP2100+ @ 2.3Ghz
FSB : 211 Sync
Mul : 11
Timings: 2-2-2-11
Mem : 256 X 2 Corsair TWINX XMS PC3200LLPT
Vcore : 1.750v
MemVolts : 2.8v

using SLK-900 with 92mm Panaflo

At stock voltage I tap out at 187. But I have pc 2700 ram so I think that I could take it further if I had pc3200 Ram. My board is the A7n8x non deluxe

I have a nf7-s 2.0 with a barton 2500 at 11*200 rock stable. I have ocz pc3200 c2 memory in this machine with stock voltage... I also have a a7n8x 1.0 at 166 I can not get this to go any more even though I am using corsair xms3200c2 memory both are run sync. if I run the memory on the a7n8x non-sync it will do 400 just fine but there is 0 performance increase.

MB: 8RDA+
Proc : XP1700+ @ 2.0Ghz
FSB : 200 Sync
Mul : 10
Mem : 512 X 2 Geil Basic & Micron
Vcore : 1.70v
MemVolts : 2.6v

8RDA+
XP3000+ 11.5x200fsb = 2305Mhz
memory at 400Mhz
512 X 3 OCZ Performance Series rev.2 @ 2-3-3-8
stock voltage everywhere

epox 8rda+
barton 2800 @ 2.43

FSB is 211MHz in sync with memory
mem timings are 11,2,2,2

chipset voltage is 1.85
Vdimm is 2.86
Vcore is 1.975

8RDA+ (Rev 1.0)
XP2100 (AX-7 w/34cfm fan, AS3 on HSF and NB)
2 x 512mb Corsair XMS3200C2

2100MHz (10.5 x 200 @ 1.750v CPU, 2.7v memory, memory at CAS2, 2-6-2)

I've been having probs getting the mobo to run dual channel at 200MHz, CAS2 or 2.5. It's been suggested to try 2.8v on the memory. Haven't done that yet. Currently running single channel. In single channel, I've had my FSB up to 210 @ 2.7v, and it was stable. I knocked it down to 200MHz just to be safe.

After having a 200MHz FSB for about 6 months now, 166MHz feels slow! 😀

For system in sig, memory limits are 230MHz @ 2.5/2/2/6 @ 2.9Vdimm or 220MHz @ 2/2/2/6 @ 2.77Vdimm. Best memory bandwidth at Tras latency of 7.

I've tested the board/NB Prime95-stable at 240MHz FSB @ 5X multiplier @ asynchronous 60% memory speed @ 1.8Vdd.

Due to combination of CPU and air-cooling limits, I've been running 215 X 10.5 for 2257MHz with memory synchronous at 2/2/2/7 timings. Seems to be best combination of CPU speed, memory bandwidth, CPU temp and stability.

Currently, CPU and air-cooling are my overclocking limiters.

Hope this helps!

this blows
i can't get 200fsb for the life of me

i did the vdd mod and tryed the following voltages

1.75
1.83
1.92

none of which were stable
i also added a heatsink to the southbridge and applied as3 to the northbridge heatsink
also i put two 80mm fans one blowing on the nb and one on the sb

i lowered my mem timings and made sure the vcore and vdimm were high enough

my chipset is holding me from getting 200fsb nomatter what i do
i can't even get 185 fully stable

the nf2 is kinda dissapointing for me so far

anyone have any recommendations ????

my only option from here is to replace the nb and sb heatsinks with larger copper ones and attack a fixed fan to them

what is the highest vdd you all have run ???

my mem is rated at 217mhz 2-2-2-6 @2.6v
i can't run the system at 200 2-3-3-7 @2.8v with my cpu underclocked with a .5v boost

so this board maxes out somewhere in the 170's for fsb speeds

this blows

Proc : Barton 2500+ @ 2.4Ghz
FSB : 228 Sync
Mul : 10.5
Timings: 2.5-3-3-11
Mem : 256 X 2 Geil PC3500 Ultra Plat'num
Vcore : 1.90v
MemVolts : 2.8v
Vdd: 1.56 (failed to do vdd mod to 1.85v, so it went down to 1.56-1.57)

using SLK-900U with 120mm fan I found

soulkeeper,

put your Vdd to 1.85 ~

put active cooling on your NB. put a iceburg cooler by vantec very easy to put on.
put a passive heatsink on SB. zalman makes a good one.

thats whats on my 8rda+ and i can get to 220-230 stable.

i think your ram is the reason why your not getting high FSB. go get 512MB of corsair XMS series ram. pc3200.
the ram you have is no good for what your trying to accomplish.
once you get pc3200, and do the reccomends i stated above i see no reason why you can't go over 200FSB

i payed over 400 dollars for this ram
it is some of the best on the market
it is rated at 217mhz 2-2-2-6 @2.6v
i bought the dual pack and they have copper heatspreaders on them

the ram shouldn't be holding me back
unless there is a chipset/mem confilct between manufacturers
it has winbond bh-5 chips on it

the only thing i can think of is maybe trying 512 instead of 768.
i've heard of that causing people stability problems.
try loading the newest driver for the nforce2 chipset, if you haven't already done so.
hope you figure it out

i'm using an 8rda+, i've given up trying to o/c the a7n8x dlx boards, cant get above 185 on them 😛

my high fsb is very lucky, considering i jacked up the vdd mod :Q

yeah all the drivers were the latest

I am gonna get the abit nf7-s rev 2.0
if that board don't hold 200fsb outta the box then i'm just gonna get a kt600 board
cause this is dissapointing so far

btw the system in my sig is my system before the upgrades
it outperformed this system in 3dmark 2k3
and that's with 768mb pc-133 and a 105fsb and a t-bred

I'm just starting to o/c my board, so I'm expecting to go higher, but this is what I'm at w/stock V's and timings:

Proc: 2500+@1.99Ghz
FSB: 180 sync
Mult: 11.0
Mem: 512MB Kingston VRAM DDR333

My system won't start with the freq any higher (1 long beep and black screen - should it be doing that BTW?), no doubt it's the RAM. I already had to remove my other stick of Samsung caus I couldn't even get 168Mhz with it. I intend on upping the Vmem, but I'm just seeing how stable things are so far. BTW where can I find my memory's limits?
