Her - new 30k car (Lexus ES or Acura TL) or a used 45k car (used Jaguar or Volvo from Hertz maybe)

Used high end cars are so much better than new POS... Why would you get a new motor? It's not like an american motor where the block expands and effectively becomes useless... Worse case scenario you'd have to rebuild it...

If I buy new: Matrix, Mazda3 or maybe a WRX if it's under $22K. I could afford more, but an expensive car isn't that much fun compared to other things I could buy like motorcycles. If you want to count them, my next purchase might be a Yamaha R6S.

2004 Nissan Sentra Spec V
2004 Toyota Tundra

On waiting list for Pontiac Solstice GXP for myself. Wife will get a Honda S2000 or some other convertible when the truck is paid off.

current car: '01 subaru 2.5 RS (slushbox tastic for daily driving)
next buys: my boss's 1999 suzuki gsxr 600 within the next week or two
and a dedicated race car either a '94 miata or a '95-'97 m3....preferably the m3 but its quite a bit more expensive and so are the parts and insurance.

Indeed.

Coupe + 6sp manual!

Why 6sp manual over SMG? My friend has an '04 M3 coupe, all carbon fiber body, SMG. That car flies, pure race car, like its supposed to be.

Yes, the heated, leather, 16-way seats just scream RACE CAR.

😉

Carbon fibre body? Did he get the CSL M3 then?

6sp manual because I like to change gears with a stick. I live in England and I have only known one person that drives an auto 😛. I guess I feel kind of detached from driving using the paddles I guess.

I sure as hell won't be racing it and the extra fractions in changing wouldn't bother me. I can change gears pretty fast though.

It isn't a pure race car. Well unless he go the CSL which is quite a bit lighter then the regular M3. No air con also 🙂

If it's the CSL then he has a legit claim to a pure race car imo. But does the CSL have adjustable seats?!

Current - 2002 WRX wagon

Future - 2002 WRX wagon... I just don't see me getting any other car ever. The wagon is the most practical yet sporty car around and nothing compares. If my car was totalled or stolen, I would just buy another of the same.

Used high end cars are so much better than new POS... Why would you get a new motor? It's not like an american motor where the block expands and effectively becomes useless... Worse case scenario you'd have to rebuild it...

I am not going to put the same engine in there, I will put in a VTEC one and a manual transmission (from automatic).

oh yeah, integra and corolla are "high end cars"....ROFLMAO !!!!!
good luck to whoever is driving an small car with no side airbags, especially an old rusty one with no modern safety equipment....anyway, I really doubt your blabbering about still driving it in 2010, it's more likely you'll get a new Hyundai or something...those budget shoppers nver change

You're boasting about something you don't have. Shut up.

Big fat hairy turds. A front wheel drive turbo car hardly even comes close to most Lexus'.

...driving my brand new Porsche...

Which you don't have i.e., boasting to ridicule someone. That's just trolling. Not 'pwning'.

You are such an idiot troll.... DIAF

and you cant call your own ownership.... you only own someone if other people claim you did. Claiming your own is just masterbation. Makes you look like a real idiot too.

Fantastic you drive a SAAB.... the snobbiest car on the planet... did your daddy buy it for you? Or did you earn it. Either way.... it's not that amazing. And as others pointed out you're still bragging about a porche you DONT HAVE.

Idiot.

ROFL, Saab is cool where lexus is just a wannabe from toyota. And Im not going to even dignify your post by addressing the performance differences
