Your most feared insect?

I have lizards, house flies and mosquitos in my house but nothing compares to the wrath of cockroaches, the more i "shoo shoo" them the more they run towards my feet.

Also disgusting to see them mate doggy style. Infact i am so scared of cockroaches, i can smell them before they spot me.

I have puny spiders but they just run way if you scare them.

Does any one have smell tactics to spot your feared insects?

'grossbugs'. I dont know the proper term.

they look like a grasshopper crossed with a shrimp. just weird.

The cockroach, unless you consider a spider an insect, but they're actually anthropods.
I think you mean "arthropods." Not that that makes a whole lot of sense though since insects are also arthropods. "Arachnids" is a bit more specific.

For me, if were talking about all creepy-crawlies, it's scorpions or centipedes.

Black widow spider. I caught one the other day in my back yard. Hard to believe something so tiny can kill.

Perhaps, a quick Google search reveals them as anthropod, but also arthropod. Maybe my source is wrong? Either way, not an insect.

I hate Junebugs. Ever have them land on you. The damn things stick to you like glue. I'm glad they are not out year round.

Yeah, but same for all spiders....the likelyhood of being bitten and them secreting enough venom to give you more than a bruise is doubtful. Spider venom is approximately 5 times more potent than snake venom, but there just isn't as much of it and their small fangs usually cannot penetrate our fatty tissue (especially in america) for the venom to go directly into our bloodstream.

Correct about the venom statement. The black widow's bite has been greatly exaggerated by the media. Their bites rarely lead to death of healthy adults but can be very painful. The brown recluse, which was mentioned earlier, is much more deadly in terms of the toxicity of its venom. Bullet ant bites/stings are also at the top of the list of pain.

But from what I hear nothing compares painwise in the insect/arachnid world to that of the giant japanese hornet. Now those things are scary. Luckily we don't see many of those around Baltimore.
