Back during my frosh year of college I had a real bad upper respiratory infection which turned into bronchitis. I think I slept for something like 32 hours straight...tossing, turning and coughing...but 32 hours nonetheless. My sense of time and day was wrecked for a week.

43 hours.

I worked 192 hours in a pay-period in an attempt to try and win a "longest-hours" contest (I lost). I took three days off after the contest, and slept for 43 hours. I think I was 17 or 18.

43 hours straight? sounds like you were in a coma to me.

I used to be able to do 20 hours on a normal day. Now 12 is really rare.

I had meningitis a few years ago and basically slept about 3 straight days. The only times I was awake was when the nurses would come in to take vitals and such.

After a particularly bad surgery I was out for around ~30 hours (I was in and out sometimes, but not really longer than 4 minutes)

I lost a day once. I worked 32 or 36 hours straight (don't remember which, it was a while ago) then went home and went to sleep for more than 24 hours.

During finals in Engineering, I stayed awake for almost 3 days in a row I needed the time for last minute projects, I just couldn't sleep peaceably. After finals, slept for 22.5 hours! When I woke up, I felt like I went back in time (for the 10 seconds that I didn't check the calender on my PC anyways :D)

That happened to me once too. Nothing out of the ordinary was wrong [I wasn't sick, emotionally drained, etc] - I just couldn't stay awake for more than a few minutes....

I slept for 12 hours last night and it was fantastic

it caps of a week of getting 3-4 hours sleep, waking up at 6 am to be at work (yes, I worked christmas eve/day as well), and being sick as a dog the whole time.
