Yeah I remember someone telling me about that. You can't make up sleep, but when your body is exhausted, how can you not sleep for a long period of time?
I read that in "The Week" from a couple of weeks ago. The thing is, a prolonged period of sleep deprivation inhibits your brain from functioning in optimal condition so you'd be a little impaired. If you lost sleep for a day or two, then making up would be fine.
