now: R&D engineer at a medical device company. veteran, old, and grizzled 🙁
 
It's really amazing what AT can do for people. This forum should run collectively for President.

If ATOT were president... would shoes be allowed to be worn in the White House? 🙂

Then: All around IT guy for a small department in a large firm

Now: All around IT guy for a small department in a different large firm

In between: 5 years as an IT Project Manager and 1 year laid-off/unemployed.
 
Then: College, working at UPS. Now: Server support, Application support, SAN support, Backup support, help desk, Upgrade projects.
 
Then: College dropout working for a mom and pop computer shop.
Now: Systems administrator, Field Division (meaning I travel a lot).

Working towards project management, just about to finish a project for a new test environment for a major program.

Still no degree. :colbert:
 
I had just started as a support desk/IT go to guy at a small company.

Now I am doing more of an administrative role (IT) for a larger company (automotive) and about to dabble in robotics as part of my current job. May switch to be a robotic technician and leave IT behind once and for all. The next few months will tell.

currently a lab manager and research assistant. mostly wet lab work + dealing with all of the administrative BS that wants to hinder our activities on a daily basis.
Ah that explains your extensive knowledge on university workings/policies/culture etc 😛
 
In 1999 I worked part time as a pharmacy tech when in school (NIU, Comp Sci). During the summer, or really any breaks, I would work full time + as much overtime as I could.

Currently, I'm an analyst. Officially the title is lead analyst, but, there's several other "leads" on my team so it's just simply a word for the pay grade above senior.
