Wood stove running all day. Started off around 17C or so, as I also had it burning overnight so it kept it's heat until morning. I really should look at building a heat jacket of sorts to suck air through so I can move the hot air upstairs faster. The vent above the wood stove is not really cutting it. Adding insulation to the ductwork might help too. There is about 50' of ductwork between wood stove and living room.

Oh yeah, I've been meaning to have a fire, should do that this weekend. It's just for fun, the upstairs fireplace isn't great at warming up the living room and downstairs was converted to a wood-burning stove before I bought the place, and we have a natural gas furnace. But I have a couple skulls that go in the fire, which is always fun.

56° here. I'll make a fire after coffee time is over. I know why my temps drop. My windows are drafty as shit. That's the way I like it. Lets everything breathe.

58 inside

32 outside and supposed to drop to 22 by morning.

Might have to kick the heat on for the first time this year for a few hours.

A lot like here in what's supposed to be warm and sunny Florida. 30 last night. Put the upstairs heat on for the first time when we went to bed. Put the downstairs on this this morning as it was 60 there. Supposed to be in the mid to high 70's by Thursday so heat will go off then.

Somewhere between 59 and 62 or so.

Outside is supposed to drop into the 20s for the next few nights, so it'll be heat time for the first time this year.

55°. I was out today, just got in and looked at the thermostat on the way by. Just started a fire. A little later than I usually do, but it'll be cold in the morning if I don't.

About 22C in my office, 40C where the wood stove is, 20C in the living room, air coming out of the vent there from wood stove is 30C. About 10 degree drop by the time it goes through all the ductwork. Probably should have used insulated ducting for that run. Bathroom seems to have a heat loss somewhere as it's 17C and one spot on the ceiling shows 10C. Window keeps fogging right up which is kind of annoying as it's enough water that I end up having to wipe it so it doesn't start to drip. Didn't do that last year so it's kind of weird.

Fire is going nicely. I tend to use the gas furnace in the morning as it gets the overall house temp up faster so I'm not cold for when I'm getting up to shower, but then I use wood stove to try to maintain it. Not exactly free heat since I paid for my firewood this year, but it's cheap heat.

51°. I'm feeling pretty good, so I'm holding off on a fire. Also, I don't feel like it atm. Just chilling at the computer with some coffee.

70°F with the thermostat set at a 73° setback. 31°F outside right now.

I’m using the natural gas setting on my dual fuel heat pump. The target temperature on the thermostat is reached faster than the electric setting.

Funny thing happened.

My dad was feeling cold in his bedroom and he had the space heater on.

So I got a new thermostat and ran a cable to place a 2nd thermostat in his room so the temperature doesn't drop too much in a Y configuration. I figured whichever one is cooler.. the thermostat would kick in and increase the heat.

Since I gave him my thermostat and the older circular mercury switch one that was my backup isn't working.. I'm FREEZING lol!

Gotta go to HD after this storm lets up!

It was 58F at lunch time inside. My stepson and I were freezing while we were hanging out during our lunch hour. Turned the heater on to 66F to knock the chill off for when the wife gets home.
