Went to bed last night, and when I wokeup my android "radio" to listen to music, it told me charging was throttled due to low temps :^D Thermostat said 45°. It was probably about 40° in my bedroom.
We keep the split minis at 68 and they do not keep up when it gets in the low 30s. I have the resistance heating furnace set at 66 to keep an even temperature. My wife is going on 6 weeks sleeping on a recliner in the living room. If she bundles up sufficiently to turn down the heat, it is damn near impossible to make it to the toilet. So an even 68 is what we run.
It is above 50 most days now for a high.
45° as it's been the last week or so. Hell of a cold snap. Nothing above freezing in sight. Old school weather like it was when I was young. I'm digging it. Running low on seasoned firewood. I've been nursing the old oak I have, and baking the silver maple I collected this year on the stove. Smells good when it gets really heated. Like maple toast.
49°. It feels surprisingly warm after a month of hovering around 45°. Just took a shower and didn't feel at all chilly.
I was also thinking fahrenheit is perfect for human temps. 1°F is just about my resolusion for feeling change. To get that resolution in celcius requires decimal places, and that's bullshit. Celcius is better for science and tech.
