I got tickets the other day to go see this. Looking forward to it.

As far as rotten tomatoes reviews go... I find alot of them to be BS. I suspect this movie will probably please the demographic that it's aimed at.

For the 50 something dude reviewing on RT just to review the movie... who cares what they think?

Ha, that looks great.

Whoever wrote and thought about that had one thing on his mind: Stoners...
what do stoners like a lot? Video games, crazy movies, comedy.

I think McBride and a friend of his wrote it. I could be wrong though.

Good point...I usually rely on the user ratings at IMDB.

I usually look at the contents of some of the reviews. Sometimes, the reviews are practically worthless to look at, because their personal feelings get in the way of actually reporting if the movie is enjoyable or not. It reminds me of when I was going to see Kick-Ass, and Ebert bashed it pretty badly. I look at his review and it's a huge diatribe on a young girl spouting profanities and killing people and how this is desensitizing 😵. Really, Ebert? Just really!?

I think it's hard to know if a critic will even like a certain type of movie. After I saw that Your Highness didn't have good reviews, I looked back at a movie that I saw after watching the first 5 minutes... Sex Drive (I like raunchy comedies 😛). I thought the movie was probably the best raunchy comedy that I've seen in awhile, but it only had about a 50% on RT.

I'm still going to see the movie tonight, and if it's bad... well, it can't be worse than Sucker Punch 😀.

Ebert was no fan:

Its lowness
"Your Highness" is a juvenile excrescence that feels like the work of 11-year-old boys in love with dungeons, dragons, warrior women, pot, boobs and four-letter words. One of the heroes even wears the penis of a minotaur on a string around his neck. I hate it when that happens.

Generally he will give a positive review for a popcorn flick but not this one.
