I think you need an extra poll.

I keep the top part trimmed with a buzzer (1/8") and shave the balls with a mach3 razor every 2-3 days.

It's so much better! It's amazing, once you start growing the hair back and you don't cut it, it's like, "jees! That's ugly!"

My gf likes it better as well.

So, my recommendation to you all is to try it if you haven't done so.
