Makes me wonder where the other people in this thread have jobs.

Hehe :D

where mech works :camera: That orange monstrosity on the left is my winter commuter  replacing my previous winter commuter.

Are you in Spokane?

Yes indeed. If you see a bicycle going down Highway 195 with lights so bright they look like they were stolen off a State Patrol car, that would probably be myself

Well, luckily you won't have me blowing by you in a big red Puget Sound truck anymore!

Actually, pro truckers are my favorite people to share the road with, whether I'm riding or driving  I wish everyone else drove with the level of care, forethought and responsibility that they do.

I actually was meaning that no more big blast of sandy wind hitting ya! Do you ride very far?

Those blasts of sandy wind are often good for a 15-second "turbo boost" to 25mph, so I actually look forward to being passed by semis going my direction

Do you ride very far?

My preferred commuting route is about 40 miles round-trip, so 2 to 2.5 hours a day, which might be considered fairly far for a commute. Some of my recreational rides end up in the 4-6 hour area.

And here I thought I was being nice by moving over for bicyclists, had I known you wanted that blast of air I would have gotten closer :D oh yeah, just kidding.

Seriously, it goes like this:

*looks in helmet mirror* :Q ~ oooo, here comes a SEMI!

*immediately slides to the far-right edge of the 8-foot shoulder*

< shiftyeyes >:p ~ if I ride WAYYYYY over here, maybe the semi will stay in the right lane 'cause he sees I've already got so much room! < / shiftyeyes >

*semi stays in right lane*

 EXCELLENT, MY PLAN IS WORKING!!! *veers left to surf the draft while it lasts*

Network: Netgear FVS317 VPN firewall > Linksys firewall (wireless is WPA2) > gigabit switch > machines.

All machines are running Avast! integrated with WHS, UAC turned on, Firefox; currently looking for a replacement for Spybot.
