what about people with low post counts but have long registered dates?

Like me.

I don't think anyone considers 2 years as a "long registered date" noob. :p

They should remove the rankings. I think it definitely creates a false sense of credibility. I don't put much faith in the opinions of a 16-year-old kid who knows nothing, but has 46,000 posts because he's a nerd and posts on the internet all day.

[EDIT: Didn't realize Rossman had 46,000 posts, and was not referring to him!] :)

Good luck not getting your threads locked, and not getting banned for mass neffage.

;)

sometimes you got away with it though, just gotta neff at the right thread ;)

or the right time...there are times where the collective IQ of ATOT drops by a few thousand and everyone starts making stupid threads about a specific at one time...anyone remember the coke vs bruce lee, daylist savings time, "so I walked into a bar" etc thread marathons?

BTW, I'm not saying I don't join into the stupidity. :D

It would be nice if there was a chart or EKG meter showing the intelligence level of ATOT at certain times. Then if you feel like really talking about something serious you check the chart.

"Hmm, I am in the mood to discuss the implications of VR from a Tad Williams book, maybe I will go to ATOT." Checks chart, Intelligence quotient = YAGT "Crap, I'll come back later."

LOL I didn't think you were, I hit reply without seeing your edit then I just now saw it.

Anyhow I'm not "proud" of the fact that I have 46k+ posts ... ElFenix and NFS4 are even more pathetic ;)

Lifer is a good indication of people that have no life beyond work and ATOT. ;)

Having said that, I better stop posting if/when I hit 9999. :)

They should have a post count for individual forums. The second i ventured into ATOT, my post count skyrocketed... my productivity at work also suddenly became very efficient.
