you learn more by listening (or in this case reading) than talking (or posting). therefore i propose a reform where status is based on threads viewed instead of postcount. 🙂

If you don't realize that Anandtech is one huge community and that those with high post counts are actually more social than those with low post counts, you don't understand that a bond with people here on Anandtech can be just as strong with people in real life.
 
well, generally if someone's hated or only posts innane comments, they'll get flamed so much that they don't reach a very high status (they'll leave or get a vacation)

and otherwise, the more someone posts on here, the more you get to "know them", instead of the OP being just another handle.

not really, i see alot of people with high post counts are the ones that go into every thread saying repost after it has been well established that the thread is a repost
