Your favorite supermarket coffee?

My favorite coffee comes from Fairway and is $12/pound, except when on sale.

I need to find something less expensive. What's good out there?

Thanks.

Do you shop at Costco by any chance? Their house-branded Colombian is absolutely fantastic, and is (if I remember correctly) about $16 for a 3-pound bag of whole beans. Been living on it for years.

Also available for mail-order: http://www.costco.com/Kirkland-Signature%E2%84%A2-Colombian-Supremo-Whole-Bean-2-3LB-Bags.product.100039968.html

hmm I typically get the Sbux Dark blend from Costco whenever there's a coupon for $4 off or whatever. illy's pretty good but too expensive (guess it's overrated?). Always open to suggestions.

Actually my favorite coffee, barring price is actually Yuban

And its not even that pricey anyway. Just costs a little more over Maxwell house, Foldgers, that type of thing.

Eight o' clock I think is the cheapest that comes in sealed bags by the lb. I honestly think Yuban is better though.

+1 When cost really isn't an issue at a supermarket (then again what would i be doing looking at a supermarket for highend coffee).. although Yuban is markedly more expensive than others in my area for some reason. It's just so tasty I'll take a small can over a bigass "Great Value Dark Roast" any day.

My go to regular grocery store brand is 8 o'clock. But, my grocery store also sells Finger Lakes Coffee Roasters coffee in the deli section. I get a pound or two every now and then; comparable price. My favorite (so far) is Jamaican Me Crazy. People upstairs on the next floor come down to my room to see what it is that smells so good.

They have so many different brands of coffee at Costco I just get overwhelmed and can't make a decision.

As I said, try the Kirkland Colombian, specifically. By far one of the best coffees I've tried, from anyone.

For Keurig machines, their Pacific Bold is also excellent. I like it even better than the Newman's, which used to be my preferred pod for those machines.

Wow that's expensive. For that price I can get fresh beans from a local roaster.

For a bit cheaper, I like Caribou Coffee's beans.. they aren't too bad.
