neither can most of the Tie fighters, at least with the jedi fighters you COULD hook up to a "round looking thingy". With most of the ties you needed a freaking capital ship to tag along with.

The e-wing is still the coolest, though my previously mentioned coralskippers are pretty darn cool as well, too bad the vong that fly them are FREAKS.

someone mentioned Fetts Slave I/II ships i think...if those are allowed, i wanna Skipray Blastboat 🙂

i voted Y-Wing tho, slow, ponderous, but such a 'im a meaty bastard' design about them..lol

A-Wing (out run all fighters and swoop in for the kill, sneaky smub-biatch)

Timothy Zahn > Kevin Anderson

Grand Admiral Thrawn > All

All the X-Wing people will agree/should. Finally figuring out that you can dump power back and forth into shields/lasers, and being able to double stack forward and aft shields on the fly, AND figuring out if you distance a missile enough you can turn on it and shoot it outta space was the greatest finds ever in Tie-Fighter, X-Wing, and XW VS TF. Those were the days...

Don't make me rampage this thread with my Replica Lightsaber...

*puts thumb on ignition switch*

😉

My first choice would have to be the E-wing. The TIE interceptor is bad-a$$ (vader's ship) but I hate Sinaar systems craft (damn profiteering bastards, hehe) 🙂

X-wing for the rebels, though the missle boat is a kinda neat change of pace. TIE Defender for the Empire.

Oh man, they need to make another X-wing game for the PC.

Wow, you've actually done your homework...I'm impressed.

As for my answer...depends on if I'm for nostalgia or just pure ability. So many ships out there...*runs and flips through his books...*

😛

anyone who doesn't say Millenium Falcon is not a true Star Wars fan....

How could you vote for anything else??? It's the ship that made the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs for God's sake!!!

http://www.starwars.com/databank/starship/anakinscustomstarfighter/index.html

Anakin's starfighter began as a standard Delta-7 Aethersprite that he extensively customized to suit his demanding tastes for speed and control. With four Taim & Bak laser cannons bracketing each wingtip and a proton torpedo launcher along the ship's dorsal centerline, the speedy combat vessel had greater firepower than the standard fighter.

Anakin incorporated articulated stabilizer foils to assist in maneuverability. The main vectored thrusters included articulated mounts that allowed for greater aerial agility. Perhaps his boldest addition was a pair of TransGalMeg hyperdrive thrusters that gave his starfighter limited hyperspace capability.

A common misconception is that this is an error, since a parsec is a distance, not a time measurement.

The term Kessel Run came to encompass a number of smuggler methods designed to separate spice cargoes from licensed Imperial shippers. One particular method saw the quick distribution of spice along a slowly moving train of cargo freighters, while another approach was just a pure contest of raw speed that skirted dangerously close to the black holes of the Maw Cluster. A smuggler that managed to shave off a sizable portion of the 18-parsec Kessel Run had bragging rights indeed.
