Your favorite sport to watch? w/ Poll

Please vote for your favorite sport to watch - key note, watch. Not play.

Please don't bother if you have some unusual sport that is not broadcasted often in the US.

If you feel so compelled, please respond as to why also.

I'm torn between basketball and football on your list; ultimately, I'll give the nod to basketball. That said, my favorite sports to watch are snowboard or skateboarding competitions, or pool (14.1, 9-ball, snooker, 8-ball, trickshot, in that order).

Depends really, on whether it's live or broadcast. Also depends on the level (high school/college/pro)

Baseball is by far my favorite live, although only at the professional level. Hockey would probably be a very close second if I actually got out to more games. NHL, college, and high school games are all quite fun. Football is ok live if you can sit in mid-level 50 yard line seats. I won't shell out $300 for Bears tickets, but NIU tickets are easy to get, and high school games are ok. Basketball is crappy to watch at all levels. Soccer is only fun to watch when children are playing.

The only sports that I like watching on tv are professional. I'll never waste my time with basketball or soccer. Hockey is a lot tougher to follow on tv because you get tunnel vision and cant see where a person is passing to. I like watching the White Sox on tv, but pretty much no other team. Most NFL games are great to watch on tv, and football would be my favorite sport to watch on broadcast. Although typically football broadcasters are the worst.

As for me, I prefer NBA basketball.

Little else in the sportsworld besides the Olympics interests me.

I liked the Olympics when I was young because the medal count amazed me, but I despised the broadcast in 2008.

I'd be curious to see the average age of those who watch baseball. Baseball is a sport with an aging fanbase.

Football (NFL Only)...outside of "Mike and Mike in the Morning", football is the only thing I watch on TV.

I used to be a pretty big boxing fan but that sport has totally gone down the drain thanks to the dumbass promoters...
