My 3 Favorite songs of all time are:

Kansas - Dust in the Wind
Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
Jackson Browne - The Pretender

But as for new songs that I like, I started listening to some Bon Jovi and like:

Blaze of Glory
Its My Life
Thank You For Loving Me

The battle theme from Final Fantasy 1. Seriously. I've listened to it on loop for about fifteen minutes now. Aside from that, if I go by number of playings in the last few days, definitely Mahler's 2nd Symphony (about five times, 47 minutes a pop).

I'm listening to Nickelback (This is How You Remind Me) and Genesis (the old stuff) right now. So for those of you who like Nickelback, that means that they are now officially uncool, since I like them.

Dust in the Wind by Kansas is an awesome song! I have it on CD, it's a live recording. I downloaded the album version and I PREFER the live version! It's just totally wicked. I learned how to play it on the guitar, myself. :D I don't know it all, just the intro... it's cool. :)

All time favs? Stairway to Heaven, Black Dog, Babe I'm Gonna Leave you (all Led Zep), Money (Pink Floyd, duh), Day Tripper (Beatles), Dust in the Wind (Kansas), Hotel California (Eagles), Victim of Love (Eagles).

Most of the modern stuff isn't quite as mind-blowing as the older stuff such as what I mentioned. So most of the "favorite" stuff would have to be older. Of course I love listening to newer stuff, I enjoy listening to vast variety of bands, punk, rock and neither.. it's just that the new stuff, I guess needs time to sink in, or fade away. :p

Excellent song. Have you heard Aaron Neville's version of Van Morrison's song "Crazy Love?"

My parents think it's terrible that I buy CD's that I get carded for.

Godsmack, Staind, Disturbed, Sevendust, Zombie, you name it.

Of course they don't like the fact that 99% of the movies I rent are rated R either.

Viper GTS <-- Not nearly as conservative as his parents would like

That must be hard for you. When my oldest first hit her teen yrs I tried the conservative, hard line PG-13 route with her. The result ? a lot of fights and she deliberately sought out music and films that would make a truck driver blush.

Besides, I've always loved new music,concerts,movies... so I decided to adopt an attitude of listening/watching what they were into and using it as a chance to talk to them, lol, I even saw Pantera with my 18 yr :)
