How could I forget?

Little Shop of Horrors (1986 musical)

Intro

Ashman and Menken are one of the best musical duos ever. RIP, Howard Ashman 🙁

Beauty and the Beast - Another Ashman/Menken master work.

Twin Peaks Soundtrack (i know , it's a tv show but Angelo Badalamenti is a true genius)

The Crow soundtrack is pretty cool and Lost Highway too.

Yeah. I have "The Crow" soundtrack and there are several good things on it.

I never saw "Twin Peaks," but I've passed on the soundtrack CD when I saw it at the local Goodwill thrift store. Probably should have bought that one. 🙁

Lots of the good ones have already been mentioned, but here are some more.

Simple but perfect: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4kWpi2HnPU

From the Escape From L.A. soundtrack (horrible movie but some good songs): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=53qeiAVjHQU

I tear up every time I hear this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ypoUBGMxT1o

Underrated and forgotten: Dune, Legend

Overall best soundtrack ever, though...The Karate Kid. Both the orchestra and songs always fit and enhance the mood perfectly. After 30 years and dozens of viewings, it still feels fresh and alive.

Also loved The Karate Kid (1984) film. Even though it has aged, the perfect soundtrack sucks you in and keeps you involved.

Moby - God Moving Over the Face of the Water from Heat

I can watch just the last 3 minutes of that movie and still get goosebumps after a couple dozen viewings
