Your favorite horror movie

Right now my Fav is playing on IFC. Jeppers Creepers. Damn that movie is freaky! LOL I don't care for very many horror films, but Jeepers creepers really gives you the creeps.
I bought both DVDs a few years back.

Looks like there's going to be a part 3! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1139592/

Halloween (original)
Dawn of the Dead (remake)
The Hills Have Eyes (remake)
Last House on the Left (remake)
Sinister
The Conjuring

not even sure if some of those are considered horror movies.

The Exorcist, probably still.

Alien was really fantastic when I first saw is in the theater the first time on release, like The Exorcist was, some things you can just not go back and duplicate again.

This looks interesting in the near future.

Man...so many, but all from when I was a child. Most of the ones listed are great, my favorites of course being Alien, The Thing, Poltergeist and Phantasm.

If we were to limit the choices to the last say...10 years, that would be much more difficult as we are much harder to impress as adults. My favorite in the new generation is Cube, but even that is over 10 years old.

Nobody has ever heard of this, but if you like stuff like the Sixth Sense, you need to watch it

I don't remember actually watching this as a child, but I remember having many dreams of the floating over the staircase sequence. I never knew where it came from until many many years later when it was playing on cable. That scene came up and I dropped my plate (I have very vivid dream recall).

When I was driving to the theater to see "The Cabin in the Woods" it felt like I was doing something sinful.

omg, the babadook is a horror film allright, but ... why would you ever recommend it. ppl get traumatized watching that stuff.

not at all. i watch it, and i don't know if i'm watching a drama about mental illness, and the film wants me to have the feels, or a proper horror, and the film wants me to shit my pants.
keeps me on the edge for so long, i want to freak out.
