A lot of my favorite black metal bands are foreign, Norway, Poland, Finland, etc etc.

Too many to list, so I'm not going to bother listing them.
 
I don't think a Canadian should consider something from the United States as foreign.

I as an American, don't consider products/personalities/music/anything which originates from Canada to be especially "exotic" or "foreign."

Most of the bands I listen to are European. Scandinavians and Swedish make the best metal. So I'll say the band Opeth, hailing from Sweden.
