i just drop the genre stuff. just call it music you like and quit with the labels.. you'll be happier not trying to explain the different kinds of genres and sub genres.

screamo.. wtf is that? that's ridiculous!

:D Go cry into your sweater, emo boy. :brokenheart::beer:

haha. far from it. for a while my favorite song was 'death by stereo - emo holocaust'

Uhm, when did Lagwagon start getting classified as "emo"?

They are a pretty staight-forward punk rock band. Definitely not emo.

older stuff is always cooler than newer stuff.. take alot at that that poser count chocula.. he went from detroit-post-modern-retropunk , sold out, lost the cape, and turned into pre-core-70s-L.A.-hip-emospective-foundational-pop... total sell out.

I don't care for emo but I would suggest listening to some at the drive in. A lot of energy to their music. Thrice has some really good guitar playing too.

in about 2-3 months, people will be calling them (thrice) sellouts, so dont like them for too long :)

Chocula was always cool in my book, I caught him on his final tour (1985?) with the synth pop trio boo-berry's opening. Ah, memories...

Emo pisses me off. If you want some real emotional music, listen to Stabbing Westward.

Soft, mygirlfriendjustbrokeupwithmeandIcantstopbitchingaboutit-lyrics do NOT compliment "hard" music. They are not meant to go hand in hand. Those bands are boy bands in disguise!

And what's up with their voice? The male lead singers sound as if they've been neutered.
