Novacaine doesn't alter consciousness in any way, shape or form. I'm not anti-drug, I can't be, given the number of drugs I'm on for a medical condition I have. I don't like ones that alter consciousness.

I thought you might be like a friend of mine who refuses to drink anything but water, won't take any type of pain reliever, and keeps track of every piece of food he eats.
