What was the most enjoyable game you've ever played?

Why was it great?

For me, Ultima 9: Ascension was my favorite. I had never played any of the first 8 games, but I know that I followed the progress of UIX for a number of years while it was being developed.

Everyone complained about the bugs, holes in the plot and crappy ending, etc... I saw none of this. The game was beautifully done.

There were times when I was utterly stuck, so I would spend time just walking around, looking at the scenery, listening to the music and completing small side quests.
 
Well...hmm probably Rogue Spear! I have a bunch of those MMORG and RPG games but I learned the hard way there not for me. Age of Empires 2 would probably be my favourite but everyone rushes now adays which totally ruins the game...it was supposed to be a large scale tactical game that would last for hours but they turned it into 5 minutes rush BS! BTW, your sig is too true.

Either Doom 2, Sim City 2000, or Quake 1. Might be another one or two that is close to those three but I doubt it.

(well maybe X-Wing or TIE Fighter 😉 )

Thats so true about what YOu said for Age of empires 2. I used to play that game everyday, even if its just agaist the computer. I started playing online and people do nothin but rushes, which is a pain in the ass!! but its still one of the best games ever.

MY Favoirte is TRIBES 1. Tribes2 was just plain bad. I still play tribes 1 everyday, Anyone else want to play some tribes 1?
 
Full Throttle is one of my favorites! Also Battlezone! (&Oslash;G&Ccedil; Pr&otilde; §niper), Incredible community was formed with Battlezone, esc. Battlezone snipers. Made friends for life there.
