Pringles are reconstituted potatoes = i.e. mashed and re-shaped to mimic the thinly cut chips.

[edit] They're not even whole potatoes.

Pringles have only about 42% potato content, the remainder being wheat starch and flours (potato, corn, and rice) mixed with vegetable oils and an emulsifier

Exactly. They taste ok I guess, but they are not potato chips! :colbert:

I instinctively stayed away from them but my late wife turned me on to them, and they were not all that bad for what they were.

But, yeah, they're not real potato chips.

Who remembers those chips in the big tin called Charles Chips that the guy used to bring to your house, then finally sold them in stores?

Those were the best.

being Canadian can limit our selection of chips.

I do miss O'Grady's chips.

I do like Lay's Dill Pickle, Ruffles SC&O and Humpty Dumpty (now Old Dutch) bar-B-Q chips.

my guilty pleasure is Munchos!!!!!!!!!!!!
