<< RaDragon, any beer that needs a plastic ball in the can to maintain it's freshness has something wrong with it. Also, any beer with an inch thick, nigh impermeable layer of foam has something wrong with it. By the way, Guinness is the beer that defies physics. The bubbles float down!!!

no contest. :)

Has anyone heard of Blue Moon? It's got a silky flavor, almost sweet. Hard to drink more that 3 or 4 without some intervention.

Bud light is what I stock, not the cheapest, but damn near. Plus, old habits die hard.

RaDragon, too many bad memories on keg beer? If you have memories, that means you didn't drink enough.

Farbio - yea, I'm in Atlanta. Shipping. Hm.. I don't know how well bottles of beer would ship. And shipping on a torpedo keg would prolly be pretty spensive.

that's true, perry... if i drank too much, then i wouldn't be able to play lacrosse (we had a keg on the field and played 'slush ball' with the men's team). :)

The German stuff that's half beer, half citrus pop. I think it's called "Radler", right? My German beer knowledge is getting rusty.

I just remember that it tastes good and we'd get it in bars when we were only 13 and 14 ;)

Whatever beer I brew. You all should try brewing your own. Damn does that beat the crap out of most beers. It's all natural and made with your own grubby hands. Nothing like it. I made an American Wheat this summer and it tastes awesome.

Edit: Ok, if I had to pick a commerical beer it would be:

Brooklyn Brown
Pete's Wicked
Black & Tan (duh G&B of course)
Newcastle Brown
Yeungling

Ok I picked more than one, but you can never have just one can you?
In the old days it would have been Black Label all the way baby!

American... Samuel Adams,

British, toss up between Guiness and McEwans Scotch Ale (now that will put hair on your chest).

BTW, lots of people like Fosters, did you know that in NA, Fosters is brewed under license in Canada? So, in NA, it is actually a canadian beer!

It seems that most of you guys have never tasted *REAL* bear. You have to taste some of the traditional belgian beers: Double, Triple, 'Le Fruit Defendu', Chimay, Duvel... and the list goes on. Also, german Heffe Weisse (especial dark) is incredibly good! And of course Guiness is also a special treat.

...but brewing your own beer isn't exactly as instant as popping open the top of your fav commercial brew. ;) in any case, Nitzylpick, do you use those brew-in-a-box appliances, or do you have your own homemade brewing barrel?! just curious.
