holy crap you are S-M-R-T you figured out other people listen to music too. Shocked I am I tell you.

Really, you think no one knows about Something Corporate or The Shins? 😛

Mine: The Besnard Lakes | http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ify-buS9JUU

It's like The Beach Boys, My Bloody Valentine, and Led Zeppelin made an album together.

You would be quite surprised. Of my friend group most people don't know either, the few that do know 1 song (either "Constantine" or "Caring is Creepy) and have no other experience with the music.

Half the people I know don't know the shins at all which is quite upsetting.

As for Something Corporate I rarely find people who know them. I saw them in concert once at the TLA and it was far from packed too sadly.

Its not possible to have a band NO ONE knows about but you. Cuz if you were the only one who knew about them, then obviously they arent selling enough albums or concert tickets to keep them in business and would no longer be a band.

Anyway, as for bands few people know about: I like Artificial Joy Club and Skunk Anansie.

my favorite bands of the moment are The Gossip and The Bellrays

not completely unknown garage bands, but they're not mainstream either.

I've got a major thing for hard rock bands with female lead singers.

Not completely unheard of, but not popular to the general public:

A Wilhelm Scream (melodic/technical hardcore)
Clutch (stoner rock, blues rock, funk metal)
The Methadones (punk rock, pop punk)
Nikola Sarcevic (singer/bassist from Millencolin, his solo stuff is pop/acoustic)
Zero Down (punk rock)

The Dreaming... Same singer and drummer from Stabbing Westward

Which drummer? They had 5 of them over the years...lol.

I just went and checked out The Dreaming because I used to be a SW fan. Wow, they were just bad. I listen to 4-5 of their songs on myspace and they're no SW!
