Yeah there's so many out there that I liked I know I'm forgetting a bunch, I'm not even counting the ones I like just a little. I even remembered 3 more (Captain Planet, Bucky O'Hare, and Sailor Moon) right after I submitted.

Many memorable ones. If I had to pick on though I think it would be

Duck Tales.

To me, the 80's cartoons ARE some of the newer crap...:p
My kids watched cartoons in the 80's...and outgrew cartoons in the 80's.

This got me looking at other intros to cartoons from the 80s. Man there's a bunch I have no recollection of and so many have anime-ish influences (although I didn't know what anime was until much later).

yep. they were all dirt shit. funny when you start going into your childhood and realize how truly crappy all of that was. :awe:

I remember Cobra Commander being Starscream, but it wasn't until this thread that I noticed Optimus Prime was voicing the intro to Voltron. weird. Not surprising, but odd that I didn't pick up on that before.

one that is truly timeless, and not crappy though: Loony Tunes. Holy hell, it really never got better than that.

and it's all banned. fucking whores. Not Justin Beiber, though. we can't fucking watch Loony Tunes but we have to watch fucking Justin Beiber.

This country is fucked in the ass.

I am your kid! I grew up watching that shit, loving it, also watching LT, and Rockie and Bullwinkle, and I have much mroe appreciation for that today, over the countless money (mom and dad's money) spent feeding the GI Joe/ Transformers addiction of my childhood.

Odd, but it's weird to see how people keep these fond attachments to childhood advertising scams, yet still seem to think it was "awesome?"

:hmm:

I don't get it. the cheap Jap cells they were buying for those cartoons--and freaking still produce today--it dominates everything now--pretty much destroyed animation.
