Mine would have to be Relic Entertainment. So many of my favorite games were developed by Relic ... including Homeworld 1, Cataclysm and Homeworld 2, Company of Heroes, etc.

A VERY close second would be Sierral (as publisher) for the Empire Earth series, publisher of the Homeworld series, etc.

Your input is appreciated ...

Square Soft/Enix

FF+Just Cause

DICE

All BFs + Mirror's Edge

Polyphony[Yes, PS3...i know, but these guys sure as hell know how to make racing games]

GT5....

Rockstar

GTA VC and GTA IV

So yea...more than one.

Mine is Relic.

Homeworld
Company of Heroes
Dawn of War
Dawn of War 2

The best RTS games going.

Also, wasn't Homeworld: Cataclysm done by some company other than Relic? I seem to recall that it wasn't a Relic job, JunkieDog or something obscure?

Funny, read the thread topic and Relic instantly came to mine and two others mentioned it also already hah.

I also really like Arena net.

Bioware
- Mass effect 1+2
- Dragon age

X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Marvel: Ultimate Alliance
Quake 4
X-Men Legends II:
Rise of Apocalypse
X-Men Legends
Star Wars Jedi Knight:
Jedi Academy
Soldier of Fortune II
Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast
Star Trek: Voyager -
Elite Force

ShadowCaster
Black Crypt

Blizzard / Valve.

There are plenty of other great studios out there, but I have a hard time finding a single game by either of them that I don't like, at least a little bit. Even WoW, which I despise now, gave me hundreds of hours of fun before the expansions ruined it.

You are correct ... it was Barking Dog Studios. My bad ...

For the PC? Is multi-platform allowed? What about consoles?

I would say (with all of the above combined, in no particular order):

º Nintendo
º BioWare
º id Software
º Rare
º Valve
º Iguana Entertainment
º Blizzard Entertainment
º Lucas Arts

If I had to go with "PC only" then it'd have to be BioWare, very closely followed by Blizzard. If I had to go with multi-platform (let's say during the past few years) then I'd still go with BioWare. If I had to go with consoles only then it'd be Nintendo without hesitation.

Valve
Bioware
and Naughty Dog. I bought a ps3 just for Uncharted 2 and I wasn't disappointed. Best game I played last year.

Edit:

Rocksteady for giving us the great Batman game.

Bioware
Rockstar
... everyone else on earth ...
EA

While EA does have a few good titles a year, it is often despite their horrible policies and not because of any inherently good developing.

PC

Bioware
Every game they've ever made

Massive
World in Conflict amazed me
Ground Controls were great games too

Relic
Homeworld Series
Dawn of War Series

Codemasters
Grid
Dirt
Even OP Flash 2 was pretty good

Console
Turn 10
Forza forces Polyphony to compete and IMO beats it every time in realism.

Pretty Good
Valve
I find their games good, but a little boring

DICE
Good, but usually has some technical issues

Obsidian
Like a B grade Bioware. Excellent game design, lacking programming and execution.

Defunct
Black Isle

Westwood Studios
