Maybe I should've mentioned that we "share" this 1 machine (the 20% of the time she does use it)... then you wouldn't think "insecurity" has anything to do with why she doesn't want it there when she tries to do work...

Funny I can see where she's coming from... still, the point of this thread was to see if you guys had SOs that cared too (and not for reasons of insecurity).

Maybe if you guys are sharing the same computer - yes I can see that. I don't care to look at a naked man either. It seemed to me from your original post that it was a different computer from the one she might use, or it is used by you almost exclusively.

There are other reasons to care? This falls under the same category as glancing at other women in the mall while I'm walking with her. A lot of wives get pissed off at that sort of thing. They are afraid their husbands might find somebody else more attractive - and subconsciously think they are going to leave them, so they get pissed off. My wife could care less, and sometimes even points them out to me. She loves me more than anything and is secure in the fact that I love her just as much. She is the most unjealous person I have ever met.

Huh. See, I am very 'unjealous' too... but you know what? My husband actually WANTS me to be jealous. Something about him liking it when I 'fight for my man'. Makes him feel good or something. All it does is annoy me.

It's not like there's any special meaning behind doing it. You like to have something good to look at as a background image and well... women are beautiful... like certain cars or landscape/scenery.

Unfortunately, 30 something moms don't get to have beefcake for wallpaper I guess. 🙁 My oldest (daughter) thought it was totally awesome but my youngest (a son) was like, YUCK! Now, the interesting thing is this same son, who is only 4 years old, brought a Victoria's Secret catalog to me from out of the trash and told me I shouldn't throw it away because it wasn't broken.
