Manual until I can't physically do it. Prefer min/no driver assist, the first time I drive a car with TC I though the car die when TC kick in.

For a DD, I'd rather have a self-driving car than a manual.

Manual would be fun if I had a weekend car that I didn't have to drive in traffic, but eh.

My current truck ('13 F150) is an auto that I drive in manual mode. My two trucks and car before that (04 F150, 01 F150, 98 Altima) were all autos. Car before that (88 Accord Coupe) was a 5spd.

My current truck's manual mode is really good. It won't force an up or down shift and it locks and unlocks the torque converter to simulate slipping a clutch.

2 Weeks ago an auto (Fusion Ti), but now a manual (Focus ST). I drove a manual 6 years in heavy traffic and got burnt out. But I live a lot closer to work now, so I decided to get a more fun DD. I love driving a manual, but honestly i'd rather have a sequential or DCT paddle shift option.

Owned both, but being an old fart (41), I prefer automagic. Get in, put it in drive, and go. Plus, I don't think there is a manual Tundra or Explorer Sport.

Both my cars (new Focus SE and '01 Accord LX) are four bangers, so I can't see them as manuals. Grew up driving a manual, but all my cars since have been autos, which I seem to prefer. I think if I drove anything sporty or with power, it'd be a stick. When she was 19, my future wife had a 390 cu. in. '68 Mustang 2+2 with an auto tranny; seemed just wrong. Awfully fun to drive though...

I'm reaching a midlife crisis and want a new toy soon. I have been looking into a 1999-2001 Porsche Carrera 4 which I have seen online for around 10-12k, or even a great looking 300zx, 1996 on up, and if I get one of those in a year or two, it will be a stick. I'd love the Porsche, but not sure its a wise decision with 5 in the family and snow here. That's why I'd want the 4wd, but also have a truck, so maybe its not that important? Basically, I just want a sporty little car to drive around.

Automatic. Bought it three weeks ago. Every car before that (4) has been manual. I miss manual but this car is great and what I wanted in every other way, so I'll deal with the automatic.

Of the 9 years I've been driving, only about 2 have been an automatic, and the last 5 have been all manual
