Yes and no. My Latitude LS is a refurb, but I bought it from eBay and not Dell. No complaints about the system.

We bought a Dimension 4300 a few years ago then sold it after we upgraded.

Dissapointed, Rossman.

A man of your hot-deal stature aught to have an xps 600 with a dual core and SLI's 7800 GTX's that you bought for <$1200.

This was my WIFE's PC, the most demanding application she uses is this game (which is quite fun BTW).

What is your PC then? It should be a dell refurb. :D

It isn't, it's a new Dell Dimension E510 when Dell had the 40% off - $35 off $300 coupon :)

So you build your own laptops eh? Not me, I recently purchased a Dell XPS M140 for my sister. It was just like brand new, in fact I'm sure anyone would have a hard time distinguishing between the two, other than the sticker on the bottom of the laptop that says refurbished.

Yup, I'd say 90% of what I get is brand new. I even get "scratch n dents" that end up being brand new systems.

The only thing I need now is a way of obtaining new physical addresses. Bastards keep giving me the boot. :(

My current computer is a Dell refurb. I found a good deal on there that I could not possibly beat by buying the components myself (assuming I went with Intel). Plus I have lost interest in building computers. I am so busy that now I would just rather have something that works when I need it, and not have to fiddle with settings and drivers too much.

I never have, and I never will. I can never forgive them for the death of my boy.

I do own a used Dell laptop, though :p

My first Dell refurb was an XPS T800r with a Pent 3 800mhz, 256MB of ram, 40GB HD, and a 32MB Geforce 256. Paid around $1250 for it. It's still running like a champ for my parents.

I bought my computer listed as "refurbished: Returned un-opened by original customer"

...

Doesn't sound like they had to refurbish it, but qualify it that way if you will.

It was brand spanking new at the refurb price.
