<< I make a point of not asking for PC parts for two reasons:

1) My family is relatively clueless, so unless I give model numbers there's a fair chance they'll screw something up

And more importantly:

2) Parts typically stay in my PC for WAY under 6 months, & I don't want to step on anybody's toes by selling the CPUs they got me or whatever to fund my next upgrade.

So PC parts stay off my birthday/Christmas lists.

I solved that problem, my family gives me webcertifcates and/or Paypal.. they know I love the hot deals forum and the thrill of getting good stuff cheap, cheap, cheap :D

I just hope there are some good christmas cartoons this year shown on television. That and christmas cookies would more than be enough for me. :D

Can anyone recommend me some DVD's to put on my list? And no, they shouldn't be of the Girls Gone Wild genre, because I can just download the good parts of that.

Anyone?

I got everything I wanted for christmas (and then some :D) early in November.

Three 512 MB PC133 SDRAM modules (brings one of my comps up to 1664 MB!!! :Q)
USB webcam
GeForce 2 GTS w/ VIVO
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy MP3+
Klipsch ProMedia 4.1 speakers
Western Digital 80GB 7200 RPM IDE hard drive
Promise FastTrak100 IDE RAID card (their idea of Linux compatibility is some proprietary drivers for redhat 6.2's uniprocessor kernel, so I'm taking it to FS/FT)
PCI UHCI USB card

Yes, I had a VERY merry christmas. Best of all, the weather guy says there's no snow in the forseeable future. :)

Other than that, a 19" monitor would be nice.
