Your Car Will Soon Have More Computing Power Than Your PC

so what, cars cost a lot more than your average PC.
besides, is that counting all the chips in the car vs just the CPU. shouldn't all the chips in the car be compared with all proccessors in PC not just the CPU.

just think how powerful computers will be by 2010

/me thinks back to the early 90's and thinks how far we've come

😀

jeezus murphy...what the hell does my Mercedes Benz need 2GB of RAM for???? Do I get to simulate 3D "Tank Wars" while driving????

if i overclock my car's CPU will my car go faster

If you can change the internal clocking rate😉, a absolute yes.

The Engine computer controls the firing sequence based on requested throttle position.

IF the clock was 10% faster, the firing would be up proportionally with more power.😎

You would wear out your engine faster.🙁

Also, if you can obtain a engine computer service interface, one can change the periodic of the engine control loop😉

that doesn't work exactly like you think it would. Firing twice in one cycle won't do much for your engine except hurt it.
