I kept getting those too. If you wait long enough after the stupid recording, eventually they say "Please press X to opt out of these calls." I haven't gotten a single one since (back in late June). They were calling every fcking day from a different number.

i keep getting messages from them at work, the message starts mid recording, its somewhat funny, i dont even know how the got this number

I get them on my personal phone, and then my work cell.. and now my work deskline 🙁

Totally annoying, and they fake the caller id alot also and change the number.

last time I did a reverse lookup, it was some lawyers phone number in oklahoma.

At least they are being proactive about it. If they don't mention it and you forget, your warranty reinstatement will cost more and you will be the bitter end.
Except these aren't really about your warranty. I got my car last September and started getting them around Christmas. Aside from the fact that that's just bullshit, I bought my car from a dealership owned by a relative. When something is actually due, he'll call me himself.

I always get to reps and inform them that my number is a sex line, and that all future calls will be charged at 20.99 per minute.

Reminds me of the support call I had to place with HP. Had to tell the douche on the other end three times that yes I understand the laptops standard warranty expires in a month and no I do not want an extended one. He even started going into this whole diatribe about if something breaks like a hard drive, lcd screen, or any other component I will be forced to pay full price to get it repaired and blah blah blah. I'm like "no bitch, just ship me the damn battery for this POS laptop I've bought from you. When it takes a dive after the warranty is out I'm gonna shit can it and get a Lenovo." The stupid battery was less than a year old and failed. That's pretty lame. And it wasn't like the battery was in the laptop all the time being used or being charged. When not running it off the battery which was like 85% of the time, we took it out.

"I'd like to get the extended warranty offered by you."

"Great! What kind of car do you have?"

"I don't have a car."

...

ugh i cant stand them. every day when i get home, it seems like there is another stupid rep telling me its the final notice on my car warranty. When will it finally be the final notice so they can QUIT CALLING ME.

I'm convinced there's some kind of scam behind this. I don't get the calls but I get spammed with a ton of snail mail. It's not coming from the manufacturer either. It's some kind of other firm. Due to their dubious methods of soliciting customers I doubt they'd be easy to collect from in the event you have to exercise the warranty.

yup, I've been getting calls from them
started happening right after I bought my new car so I thought it was legit for a while
never picked up the phone though and they stopped calling

edit: dammit citrix, you made two of these threads. im trying to keep track of the calls i get.

Whole bunch of us at work are getting them on our blackberries, I just added myself to the do not call list...probably won't do anything. Tried talking to a rep and they hung up on me.

I think they're just doing it to determine which numbers people actually answer.

I've been getting the postcards in my mail over the past year. I'd say I get one about every other week or so. Luckily I've never received a phone call from them. My car's warranty actually will expire this year, although this extended warranty service sounds like a scam to me, so I'll probably pass on it.
