1884 De Dion Bouton Et Trepardoux
World's first "concept car". Any speculations about understeer or oversteer?

As long as we're being hypothetical ...

Any other old farts (like me) here remember the "Supercar" TV series?

And I don't care that it's not legal to drive in any sense!

Did you see the recent "Top Gear" where The Stig took this around the track? The Zonda R topped the Veyron in lap time. However, Clarkson had to disqualify it because it wasn't a "street legal" production car.

That happens all the time, every time a non-street legal car comes on.

Yes exactly why I said what I said lol. The thing looked like a cartoon the way it blasted around the track without even the slightest bit of body roll.

i know, kind of average and plain. but ive always wanted one. impalas are my ultimate fave cars, i love many different years as much as this one. but id still take this one over a 67 or a 65 at this point.

Good call.

I'm surprised no one has selected a specific car yet, but rather just listed make and models. I.e. I'd have James Bond's Aston Martin DB5 from Goldfinger, rather than just a DB5.

Umm I did, there was only one "Mormon Meteor" made, it had a 1650 cu.in. Curtiss V12 and it averaged 150mph over a 24hour around the Utah Salt Flats (in 1935 no less,) hence the name Mormon Meteor.

I apologise and retract my statement (also... Good choice!)
