I have been at my current job for 25 years climbing the ladder of meritocracy. I was once the FNG now I am the top looking down at all the new blood. Dont get me wrong there are some nice young people at work but many of them are self centered shallow wankers. Some are so ignorant and are to proud to ask for advice that they blow stuff up trying to fix it. And when they hang around the office and talk about stupid shit like Wrestling and ultimate fighting, and NASCAR I want to barf. Please have some culture. Their music sucks its like cats fighting and what the hell is 2 chains and MM please, he cant even spell his name. And the vehcuiles they drive woa its all huge ass tucks and they brag about therm all day blaring carpy music that can cuase earthquakes. No concern of anything but themselves

Thank god I am retiring in 10 years.

this doesn't describe me at all nor does it mirror my rant. as i said in my thread, i come to work to be productive and act professional, which is exactly the opposite of this thread. actually, now that i think about it, most of the people i've worked with were very similar to me regardless of age (including low 20-somethings). maybe things are different in other professions, but the douchebaggery in engineering is more related to social anxiety than self-centered, oblivious behavior. i suppose he may have a point in some work environments, but i've never personally experienced this outside of a TV show that dramatizes it on purpose.

Dressing up like your avatar will shoo some away. For the rest pepper spray works wonders.
 
Eat lots of beans and fart in your cubicle/office and in the meeting and break rooms. Excessively fart to the point there is a humid haze that hangs around you where ever you go. Offer coworkers your homemade bean burritos and bean soups from a thermous on a daily basis, so there can be no doubt where the delicious bean farts are coming from.
