apparently someone at the corner of my street was shot 3 times this sunday.

moral of the story: know who you live with and don't be a drug dealer
 
Was she paying attention to traffic? If she is like one of the many other idiot children that think they are immune from harm then she got what she deserved.
 
my neighborhood tends to be loaded with fast drivers too. only area in the city where they put speed bumps on the street (3 on mine alone)

Its amazing how much more kinetic energy a car has a 25 or 30 mph instead of 20, which is the regular posted speed for housing areas.

Posted limits around where I live are 30-35... Lowest I've ever seen posted is 25 outside of a parking lot.

Thats assuming they were actually going the speed limit, and that they did not see the kid at all, which would mean that their eyes were not on the road.

I did not even speak to the parents yet.
Nobody assumed anything besides you.
I mentioned as a fact that people do speed down these streets all the time.
I have no idea if this driver was speeding or not.
