I loved making websites in Notepad. That was the bomb. His website is fine. Simple is sometimes the best solution.

They don't do that anymore?

No.

And it's the best solution when you're Warren friggen Buffet and you can do whatever the hell you want, including not have a webpage at all. For a company without such notoriety it's terrible.

I think Buffett personally tries to downplay his company in order to not artificially inflation the stock price and thus create a bubble in the stock price.

Yeah, it's only trading at $73,677.30 a share today. It would be a shame if that were to be artificially inflated.

Don't confuse share price with the value of the company. He could have split the stock many times but he chose not to. He's looking for stable, long term investors and not punks with a few bucks looking for something to flip.

Don't speak such ignorance. Share price means nothing, it's book value may be equal to it's share price.

It trades high because it was never split to avoid volatility. Many very old companies if they had never been split like GE or Dow would probably be trading in the millions.

Wow, while I am a fan of simple non flash, non javascript sites, that's pushing it. At least add tables/css to bring everything together, and add color. Full blown White is hard on the eyes if you're reading anything for a long time. Even a light gray would be better.

He's pretty notorious for not spending wastefully. His house, his car and such all included.

What's the point of having money if you don't spend it?

I'd certainly want to make sure anyone who descended from me would have every advantage you could dream of (at least 4 generations), but other than that if you work that hard for money you might as well spend it, otherwise what's the point of having more?

The point is...to make more money. His investors deserve every penny, they don't give a shit about pretty websites.
