10 Million dollars after taxes.

What would you do?

Quit or stay? [or maybe buy the business]

Give notice or just skip?

I love my current job so I'd want to stay in some capacity to keep myself occupied. I'd probably ask for a cut in pay since it wouldn't matter, and work 3 days a week or something. I'd take advantage of the unlimited PTO policy and start traveling.

At $10 million or above in net winnings, I'd quit within minutes of receiving the check. If it were $5 million or less, I'd work a few more years and let the winnings grow. $5 million to $10 million is a bit of a gray area for me.

Quit instantly. But of course I would give notice...I'd send an email.

And it would only take about 1 million.

I'd keep working, at least for a while. Most of the people I hang out with I work with so ditching them would make life boring.

My days off would just be a lot more interesting.

Id burn up all my leave then probably quit. Then I would go out and get a part time job doing something i love. In the summer something like a park ranger. In the winter ski patrol.

I'd give a notice. However long it took for the words "I just won 10 million dollars, i quit" take to come out of my mouth.

I would quit, and go work minimum wage at a hobby store.

OOOoooOOOOOHHH!!!

I like this idea. Cost & time has kept me from really getting into RC stuff. At the store, I'll have all the time, and the lottery gives me the $.

Guess I might open my own instead, but same difference.

I'd not quit cold turkey but I'd set up plans to quit. I.E they have 6 months to get someone in and trained and I will train them, or I'd stay very limited part time. Something of that nature.

For 10 million I'd quit but I'd stay as long as necessary to ease the transition. I generally like my job and my company so I wouldn't want to leave them in the lurch. But at 10 million I'm just going to go do what I want.

I'd search for a contractor partner who'd be willing to go 50/50 on house flipping. I'd provide the cash for buying up properties and he would fix them. Once I found a person, I'd quit my job. Might also go back to school though and get my masters, and possibly MBA in case house flipping didn't work out and I needed a job in my field again.

Exactly my first thought. I'd get bored otherwise. Rather volunteer doing something that actually makes a difference for others.

I'd keep working, tbh. I am not working right now and its killing me. I've never not had a job before, so all this job hunting shit after college and really grinding me down. I probably shouldn't have moved to VA right after college, if I was still in MI, I'd be making bank.

Quit and then go to the gym everyday, buy property and invest some and then go do wtf I want with the rest. Few years later when I have a decent income from my property / investments I'll maybe pick up an easy as hell job.

I would probably invest $5 million, live off the interest, and start my own company.
