We are setting up an NT 4.0 environment...

My only experience with NT 4.0 was doing a denial of service attack against our NT 4.0 Websense server in highschool.

I've never even sat at an NT 4.0 console before and now I'm going to be working with one every day.

Damn.

It's not bad to work with. A lot more work to set up networks and such. No Device Manager sucks, no USB sucks.

We worked with NT 4 terminal servers in 1500 retail locations til about 2003, when we did an in place reimage to 2003

I don't envy you. I've never had to install it, but I'm intimately familiar with wrestling with it's limitations. :|

I managed to get USB working on my NT 4.0 workstation at my last job. I never used it for anything except a flash drive, but it seemed to work well.

You poor soul. Thankfully we just got rid of our last batch of NT workstations Monday. The DC is still up and running but the only reason is because the security software for our card readers require NT.

Nope Windows 95 was for desktop and home users and uses FAT file system. NT is basically the Grandpa of Windows XP.

Have fun. It's like Win95 but crappier. I suppose it's more stable tho.
