Youtube is weird like that, some really awesome videos will somehow not get much views, than garbage like Rebecca Black or What Does the Fox Say end up with millions.

I remember hearing that Rebecca is pretty much set for life. She made millions off her autotune video. I suppose I'll give that to her, the editing takes lot of work, as cheesy as the video was, but damn... millions. I'm in the wrong line of business.

At least everything that I've gathered from watching TotalBiscuit, not that many YouTube stars make a lot of money. In fact, most of them can't even make enough to actually make a living out of it. While some may consider it "not much of a living", some of them do appear to spend 8+ hours a day doing it. It also seems that some of them simply gain popularity from YouTube along with the AdSense money, but then use that fame to get contracts for doing other various things.

Yea gavin and michael are the great pair in it.

I just wish they do some voice edit for the ryan and jack as they sound so much alike as they always joke about it.

Have you seen the Super Bowl Madden game they did? Both teams were horrible, but Geoff walked out of the room at one point because of all the interceptions.

I do like them as well, but only when in certain combinations. I love Sips and Sijn but not when they are separate. Ducan and Sijn are ok though, but I can't stand Duncan on his own. Lewis is a bit of a dick, but Simon is hilarious with how clueless he is so they are great together as well. The group competitions are really the best overall with Yogscast.

Yeah, I like them all really, even Jack and Ryan (team same voice for the win), Ray has got to be my favourite solo personality, I agree that Team nice dynamite (michael and gavin) is probably the best pair though. Xray and Vav is a close second for me.

How do they estimate the actual income?

Also 50cents to 3 dollars per thousand impressions... where are they pulling that from? I have yet to see any hard evidence that's the case, those used to be the cost per click rates.
